Our area of focus includes health education, ultra poverty, microfinance, human rights, agriculture, disaster and climate change, skills development, gender justice and community empowerment. BRAC continues to pursue innovative solutions that address social concerns while ensuring financial sustainability, which is achieved through investment ventures and adopting social enterprise models. As the development landscape in Bangladesh continues to change, BRAC is adjusting its priorities to face new challenges looming ahead. BRAC is almost completely self-sustainable through its’ own network of social enterprises and investments, and operate in 11 countries across Asia and Africa. The organisation is focused on playing a key role across eight areas that is expected to empower 20 million lives while expanding services for the 100 million that are currently being reached in Bangladesh.
